““This tournament is not possible without money,” said Biggs. “It costs us in the vicinity of R225 000 to run the tournament. It’s a hell of a lot of money and without our sponsors this is not possible.
“Firstly to Kenrich Motors, our main sponsor. Thank you very much Dean, Richard and your team. Also for those wonderful cars that you put out there, we really appreciate what you do for Tournament. [Applause]
“And then our other very big sponsor is Cricket SA. Without Cricket SA this tournament is not possible. It costs us a lot of money to move a lot of our players around, feeding them, and umpires, and heaps of other costs. To Cricket SA, who put R100 000 into the tournament every year, we say thank you very much.”
