Operation Back to Basics

SEIZED: Drugs found by SAPS after a raid on an Alexandria home

THE SAPS in Alexandria continue to arrest dealers who are the feeders of drugs to the community.

On Thursday, during a Joint Operation with members of the Station relief and the Cluster OCC, a 23-year-old female was arrested for dealing in drugs. She was found in possession of Mandrax tablets, dagga as well as crystal meth. The value of the drugs was estimated to be R2 600.

The suspect will appear in the Alexandria Magistrates court on Friday.

Brigadier Morgan Govender, the Cluster Commander of Port Alfred said on Thursday, “Every effort is being made to keep drugs off the street and away from our children. We urge the community to engage with the SAPS and provide us with information on drugs. All information will be treated with confidence.”
