Judge Siraj Desai laid into Henri van Breda’s defence advocate Pieter Botha after Botha led an application for leave to appeal the three life sentences handed down to van Breda for killing his family in 2015. Van Breda is currently serving his sentence in Drakenstein prison in the Western Cape. Judge Desai will make his decision on the leave to appeal on Monday August 20 2018.
