Message from Ward 10 councillor, Ray Schenk.
An Eskom power line that feeds electricity to the water pump stations between the Sarel Hayward dam and the balancing dam was blown down by the wind.
The result is that no water is being pumped to the balancing dam and until Eskom has repaired the line Port Alfred will be without water.
