The Port Alfred Ski-boat Club will be holding a potjiekos competition at the club next Saturday (June 1). Everyone is invited to come and sample the hard work put in by the various teams that will be competing.

“Not just that,” said club chairman Keith Fryer, “we are also looking for teams to enter the competition. The more the merrier.”

For those wanting to sample the potjies, the cost will be just R50 and there will be live entertainment by Gordon Philips throughout the afternoon.

The good news is that those who pay to taste the potjies on offer will be voting for their favourites.” said Fryer. “There will be prizes for the first, second and third places as well as a junior prize.”

If you want to enter a team, contact the Ski-boat Club to find out further details.

“We think this is going to be a great social event and want everyone to enjoy themselves with friends, good food and live entertainment. What else could you ask for?” asked Fryer.
