Allegra Singers lose their conductor

END OF AN ERA: Doreen Tee, left, conducting her last concert of the Allegra Singers at Damant Lodge on June 11

Doreen Tee, who has led the Allegra Singers for many years, is moving to Namibia to be close to her children.

The choir’s performance at Damant Lodge on Tuesday June 11 was their final one before she leaves.  Hopefully, the ladies in the choir will continue sharing their singing around Port Alfred.

“Goodbye, and thank you, Doreen,” was the message from Damant Lodge manager, Christine Haworth.
