VOLUNTEERS from Sunshine Coast Hospice will be selling pink cupcakes at Rosehill Mall in Port Alfred on Saturday October 1.
This date marks the start of the National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Thanks to Craig and Lesley Theunissen, owners of Rosehill SuperSpar and Nemato Spar, another highly anticipated cancer awareness event will be held on October 26. The event will commence at 12 noon for 12.30pm. All ladies in the community are invited to dress up in pink and to enjoy a three course meal at the Port Alfred River and Ski-boat Club.
The guest speaker at this special event will be Danel Pruissen from Grahamstown. Her talk is entitled “A mother’s experience”. Danel’s four-year old daughter, Laura, was diagnosed with a childhood cancer and is now in remission.
