Inspirational Insights with Pastor Theo Snyman

“WHERE can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence” (Psalm 139:7)?

Neither the furthest heavens nor the darkest corner on earth can hide us from God’s sight!

The fact that we are going to be held accountable for deeds done on earth should be a deterring factor… but is it? Those who do not believe there is a God will not be concerned, for if there is no God, there is no accountability.

The Bible says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13). This truth should motivate us to steer clear of all that is sinful in the eyes of the Lord.

The knowledge that the Lord is always aware of our circumstances is a source of comfort to those who fear and serve Him. “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry” (Psalms 34:15).

A beautiful picture of God’s loving protection is found in Psalm 91:4. It says, “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.” He is able to protect us through the storms of life, if only we will place our trust wholeheartedly in Him.

Transparency is something few people have. Masks may fool some of the people some of the time, but they will fool the Lord none of the time. He knows, understands and cares more than we can even imagine!

The Lord’s watchfulness reveals two sides of the coin. The one, a fear of judgment; the other, comfort and peace. Ultimately, the flip of the coin depends entirely upon us!
