NEARLY 20 people have been arrested, including eight women, by Grahamstown SAPS in the last five days. The arrested people face various charges including assaults, crimen injuria and drunk driving.
National Police day was also celebrated across the country and, for the occasion, the Grahamstown Cluster held several events and operations including a community outreach programme at Joza, distributing police awareness brochures and road block on the N2. Port Alfred SAPS also had a tree planting ceremony at the station.
