Greyling was nominated by the Kowie Striders, who felt that her five years serving as secretary of the Striders, plus her time serving as vice president of the Striders was ample reason for her winning the trophy.

“She has also been instrumental in sourcing sponsorships for the Striders and her dedication to cycling and running over the five-years has been an inspiration to many of the younger members,” said Country Club manager James “Foxy” Fox.

Also awarded at the AGM was the runner-up trophy that went to Darren Elliott, for his solid and ever-improving leadership skills as a member of the hockey section at the club.

“Darren has shown great leadership in hockey over the last year, and has dedicated a lot of his time to training and getting fit,” said Fox.
