EXPECT to feel the chill as temperatures are expected to start dropping in the Eastern Cape from Thursday.

The onset of the cold is believed to be due to the cold front which has brought severe weather to the Western Cape.

According to Snow Report SA (@snowreport.co.za) falls may extend from the Western Cape into areas of the Eastern Cape from Thursday morning. The areas around Graaff-Reinet, Hogsback, Molteno and the Eastern Cape Drakensberg areas, as well as South-Western Lesotho, are expected to get snow.

Light falls are expected to continue in these areas through the day, and by evening, snow falls are expected to cease.
