IT WAS quiet on the crime front over the past week with just a few incidents reported.

  • One more burglars broke into a home in Dickinson Road, Station Hill on Tuesday, stealing R1 500 and a pair of jeans.

A MultiSecurity response officer on patrol reported the break-in to the MultiSecurity control room. SAPS was also informed and attended. They found that the burglar(s) had gained entry by removing a window and then left through the door.

  • A resident in York Road phoned MultiSecurity control room on Tuesday reporting that an intruder at his premises was trying to open his gate. He let the dogs out, then the intruder spotted the resident’s wife and fled.

The man was described as wearing a red top and a black backpack. MultiSecurity patrolled the area but could not find him.

  • Last Wednesday morning MultiSecurity responded to an alarm at a home in Riverside Drive.

A burglar cut through a security gate at the kitchen and forced open the door. The TV was stolen. SAPS also responded. The owner was away and said he would ask a neighbour to check on the house.
