NATIONAL SPRING TIDE SAFETY WARNING:
The Full Moon Spring Tide, which peaked last night, 05 October, will result in the normal Spring Tide conditions around the coastline for the duration of this weekend.
Higher than normal high tides and a lower than normal low tides and stronger than normal rip currents lasting into the early part of next week are being experienced.
NSRI urge the public to be cautious around the coast today and this weekend due to the Full Moon Spring Tide conditions.
With the school holidays NSRI are particularly urging bathers and anglers to be cautious. The coastline will experience stronger than normal rip currents this weekend.
