ENTRIES are open for Kenton Rotary Club’s annual Garden Competition, with fantastic prizes for the winners in a number of categories.

The competition includes pavement gardens, general gardens and vegetable gardens in Kenton, Boesmansriviermond, Ekuphumleni, Klipfontein, Marselle and New Rest. Winners will be chosen from each area.
Convenor Kevin Bates said the smallest to largest gardens will be considered for the competition, so no one should feel their garden is not good enough to be considered.
Entry is free and forms are available at Buco Kenton, Mega Build-it and Kenton Tourism. The cut-off date for entries is November 6. Rotarians will visit each garden and adjudicate the competition, and a prize giving will be held on November 21.
The competition is well-supported by local business who sponsor prizes of gardening equipment, saplings, seeds and compost.
