PEP stores robbed on Saturday

Four unknown males robbed PEP stores, Church Square Grahamstown of an undisclosed amount of cash on Saturday, December 16.

Three of the men had entered the shop separately acting as shoppers. One of the staff members noted their interest in the cashiers but as she pointed it out a man came from behind her from the main door and pushed a small pistol against her neck.

At the same time, another man jumped over the counter and took the cash from the till which was open at the time.

There were roughly 30 odd customers in the shop who all ran screaming away from the front door to the back of the shop. The 4 men left the shop without anyone being able to notice what vehicle or method they used to get away. No shots fired and no injuries.
