Elderly Grahamstown man in critical condition after robbery

Police have reported that they have arrested two suspects after a violent attack on a farm in Belmont Valley near Grahamstown.

A team of seasoned investigators spent several hours at a scene of house robbery at a smallholding in Grahamstown this afternoon where two suspects were arrested on the scene.

A little after 5pm today, local security officers responded to a panic alarm and called police for backup.

On entering the house they found two suspects between the ages of 18 and 26 inside. The suspects were arrested.

The second victim was unharmed but severely traumatised.

At this stage, it is not known what was taken and how many suspects were involved. Several bags packed with items were found at the scene.
