MUSIC FROM AROUND THE WORLD: Takashi Yoshimatsu (1953) was not classically trained. He played keyboard for a band and the music of Pink Floyd. But this is what happened when classical saxophonist Nobuyo Sugawa asked him to compose a piece for him. He composed a piece called Fuzzy Bird Sonato (1999) in the western classical style. Interpreted by two South Africans, Adam Campbell on sax accompanied by Peter Cartwright on piano, at the Classics at the Castle on Friday night, 23 February.
