SUSPECTS ARRESTED BY POLICE ON OPERATION FIELA 2 OVER THE WEEKEND

Over the past weekend, Police conducted Operation Fiela 2 in the Cluster up until the early hours of today and arrested more than fifty (50) suspects.

Police arrested suspects aged between 23 and 54 years for crime ranging from drunken driving, possession of drugs, housebreaking and theft, possession of possible stolen property, common assault, drunkenness, common robbery, Malicious damage to property.

Amongst these suspects thirteen were arrested for drunken driving with the assistance of BCM Traffics.

These suspects will appear at different Magistrate courts today and tomorrow.

King William’s Town SAPS Cluster Commander Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga thanked the BCM Traffics in embarking on Operation Fiela 2 with the Police in ensuring that those drivers who drink and drive are brought to justice. We will keep on doing stop and search and farm patrols to prevent stock theft in our policing area, he added.
