Cuylerville out in the semi-finals

Cuylerville, winners for the past three years, fell out of the running of the Pineapple Cricket Tournament on Thursday when Salem beat Cuylerville by 27 runs in the semi-finals.

In the other semi-final match, Southwell defeated Grahamstown Invitational by 98 runs of which J Stirk made 74 runs.

The teams playing in the final at the Country Club on Saturday are therefore Salem v Southwell.

In section C, the popular Bathurst team, Tiger Titans, defeated Rhodes Shrews by 58 runs.

Tiger Titans is top of the leaderboard with 14 points, with Early Birds runners up at 10 points.

Tiger Titans’ Zukisani Simanga won the prize for best batsman at 64 runs.
