Kenton hosts annual tennis round robin

IT was a hot, overcast afternoon, with a beasterly easterly blowing tennis balls off course, when the annual Kenton Round Robin took place at the Kenton Tennis Club last Saturday.

Winners of the After Shocker Aces A-division of the round robin were Wikus Venter and Shelley Holtshausen. Boom Shakalakas Ian Ruckman and Colene Crossland, and Cereal Killers Juan Potgieter and Corine Brown. In the Dangerous Dynamics division, the winners were Ross Bedford and Cynthia Kelley.
Organiser Anthony Bailey said next Saturday will be an inter-provincial veterans clash between Border and the Eastern Cape.
“There will be a field of 64 players in several age groups, in sections age 30 to 70,” said Bailey.
