BEING awarded your first degree is one of the highlights any graduate will remember for the rest of their life as it signals the first major qualification of their adult career.
A total of 44 graduants (pre-graduates) had their cap, hood and degree conferred on them at the Royal Saint Andrews Hotel on Friday evening. Barely able to contain their enthusiasm the graduants consisted of 33 Bachelor of Commerce, Hospitality Management degrees and 11 earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Disaster relief management degree.
Although the proceedings were formal, with lots of pomp and ceremony, the after-party was enjoyed by graduates, their families and friends as well as Stenden faculty with gusto and a lot less formality.
Here are a few pictures from the evening. More in next week’s Talk of the Town.
