The Rotary Club of Kenton-on-Sea held its popular annual Fisherman’s Feast at the Kenton Town Hall last Friday night. It was a sold-out event, and many came dressed in the Caribbean Calypso theme. The starter was a delicious home-made creamy mussel soup, followed by a smorgasbord of mains: Willem’s local line fish served with seafood sauce, Short and Sweet’s smoked yellow tail with lemon aioli, Sandi’s smoked salmon roulade, and, in a separate dish, Mrs Crous’ traditional South African pickled fish. This was followed by Big E and Mama R’s grilled prawns and calamari combo with El Diablo sauce. Dessert was Lower Albany pineapple pud – a great end to the evening.
