Read Aloud Day at Happy Hours

Reading is an important stage of a child’s development and Happy Hours pupils begin to read at an early age, a skill they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Reading the old fairy tales is a regular part of the children’s play, and on Friday as it was Read Aloud Day, so the children made a special effort to show what they had learnt.

School principal, Tracy Lloyd, had her Grade R pupils read from the board about the wolf who tried to fool Little Red Riding Hood.
