Another full day of excitement at the Pineapple Cricket Tournament

Sunday was day 2 of the 2019 Kenrich Pineapple Cricket Tournament and witnessed a massive 170 not out from Hugh Savage of Sidbury to help his team to an 82 run win when they faced Grahamstown Invitational at the PAHS B field.

Needless to say, Savage was the tournament’s player of the day.

In other games, Southwell took on Port Alfred at the Country Club and managed to post a score of 3016 with Port Alfred only managing 77 in reply, Southwell taking the game a massive 229 runs.

The PAHS A field was where Salem (320/7) played Manley Flats (192 all out), Salem winning 128 runs.

In a close game at the Hospital field, Port Alfred posted a target of 154 against opposition Kenton who were only able to score 117 before being bowled out. Andrew Pittaway of Port Alfred took 4 wickets for just 25 runs in his allotted overs.

Tiger Titans only managed 118 in their match against Sidbury at Hilpert on Sunday. In reply, Sidbury passed the target scoring 121/5 and winning the encounter by 5 wickets.

Rainbows took on Southwell at the Air School but only managed 201 versus Southwell’s reply of 203/3 and taking the day by 7 wickets.

Bushmans saw the Shrews taking on Manley Flats who were left to chase Shrews total of 272 but could only manage 203 before being bowled out, Shrews winning the match by 69 runs.
