It was your normal Sunday evening in Bathurst on June 30 where locals gathered to enjoy a fun-filled evening of music. Yet this evening was extra special as guests at The Village Bistro were treated to music by South African musical legend Robin Auld.

The popular muso was invited to perform at The Village Bistro by long-time friend and well-known Bathurst resident, Lizz Briggs. What guests experienced was not only an evening for fans of Auld but for music lovers of all kind as everyone got involved in the spirit of the evening.

Auld performed some of his hits, such as Perfect day, Love kills, All of women, Long lost and many more, much to the delight of the audience who clapped hands and cheered the performer on.

Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious food from the menu prepared by owner Anne Hartley and staff, as well as true Bathurst hospitality with everyone having experienced a wonderful evening of music, fantastic food and great service.

Auld will be back in the area on July 5 and 6 at the National Arts Festival as he performs alongside bassist Schalk Joubert and drummer Jonno Sweetman at the SB Jazz and Blues Café.
