If you were at Rosehill Mall on Saturday you could not have missed the Community Pocing Forum’s cake sale in support of raising much-needed funds.
And, according to Heather Leicher of the CPF, the cakes sold like… well, hotcakes.
“We have had a tremendous morning that was well supported by the locals. In fact, we sold everything,” she said.
The CPF is a community-run policing forum that serves the community by monitoring activity in and around town and reporting suspicious and suspected crimes or criminal behaviour to police, security companies or to the CPF administrators in order to prevent crime from happening.
Over the past year the CPF has begun to use the Whatsapp application over cellular networks, and this seems to be paying dividends and has seen a reduction in crime in the area. CPF also assist police and security companies in other ways and expanding the footprint of law enforcement.

All residents in the area are encouraged to join the CPF, and assist in the effort to eliminate crime.
