South Africa had 3,105 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, according to health minister Zweli Mhkize.
There have been a total of 20,759 deaths to date from a total of 762,763 confirmed positive cases with 114,830 from the Eastern Cape. There have been 707,040 recoveries.
With 232,653 confirmed cases, Gauteng has the highest number of infections nationwide.
