Calling all car enthusiasts to join in the fun on Sunday 20th October and participate in the upcoming  Albany Vintage and Classic motor club Quiz Drive.

After a  very successful quiz drive earlier this year, the club has decided to host another event promising entertainment for the whole family. The drive is a perfect opportunity to test one’s navigational skills and local knowledge with the added incentive of wonderful prizes for the winners. The funds raised will be in support of the local NSRI.

There will be a staggered start at the club’s museum in Hawkins Industrial Park, Alfred Road, Port Alfred between 10h30 and 11h30, and the drive will end at the Goat Shed outside Kenton on Sea – obviously with a few twists and turns and unexpected curve balls on the way. Early registration is advisable as entries may have to be limited. Lunch and prize giving at the Goat Shed promises to be a festive affair in true Sunshine Coast spirit.

The cost is R100 per vehicle, and all modes of transport are welcome. It does not have to be a vintage or classic vehicle. A few of the club’s precious old ladies will also be participating.

While waiting at the start, drivers and teams are encouraged to visit the classic and vintage car museum which boasts resident collector’s pieces like old MGs, Singer sports and racing cars, a magnificent Rolls Royce and interesting automotive memorabilia.

Prizes include an hour long session for two in an Airbus A320 flight simulator, sponsored by 43 Air School,  two midweek nights at May Lodge in Hogsback, a barge river cruise and  vouchers or hampers from Spar, Burksies, the Goat Shed, Prestons,1826 on Wharf, Kowie Hardware, Midas and Mix surf shop.

Contact Ian on 072 727 7382 or Horst on 083-778-8 175 for pre-registration entry forms.
