The 6th round of the Pick n Pay Claude Pittaway Round Robin took place on 25th January 2025. It was a fantastic day (fish Wise) but the weather was weird. First thing in the morning we walked in the mist and casting, one could not see where you we landing I the mist. At least it was in the sea mostly. With a water temperature of about 14-18 degrees we managed to have a wonderful day and it produced fish, and a few decent ones which put other to shame producing 12 different species of fish, totalling 155 fish with a weight of 185.87kg. Attendance on the beach was once again very good to see – 36 of them. All our comps are catch and release, so this way we further the life of the fish.

The weigh-in was handled smoothly by our weigh masters Chris Pike and Laurence Kemsley, and prize giving was handled by Chris Pike and Chairman Gary du Randt. We have a complement of 10 teams of 4 anglers, making up the Round Robin competitions, with a number of individual anglers. It was wonderful to see a few members and the partners and kids joining us, we also welcomed new members to the club. Many stories were told and enjoyed around the fire and braai afterwards.
