THE Round Tablers of Alex/Kenton had a highly successful steak night fundraiser at their clubhouse at Kenton’s Middle Beach on Friday night.

The R100 ticket got you a steak with a choice of mushroom, pepper or garlic sauce, and a side of mixed vegetables and chips. It was a very well supported event and the steaks were grilled to perfection, whether you ordered blue, rare, medium rare, medium, medium to well done, or well done.
Most who came enjoyed their meal in the lively atmosphere of the clubhouse, but some ordered take-aways.
The money raised goes to Round Table charitable projects.
Eugene Catherine, a former Port Alfred Tabler who transferred to Alex/Kenton Round Table, said they had sold 116 steaks on the night. “One of our best steak nights!” he said.
Alex/Kenton Round Table plan to have another three steak nights this year.
Afrika Kusini at the House Planner in Kenton donated 10 massages and facials for lucky draws at the steak night.
