Pote, a Grahamstown local, owns the Kekkel en Kraai store in Grahamstown which has enjoyed much success over the last 12 years with the local community.

Eager to revamp the store and make some big changes, Pote is committed to friendly and efficient customer service while supplying top quality fresh and frozen chicken products at affordable prices.

Kekkel en Kraai receives fresh chicken every Tuesday and Thursday. A fresh and frozen range of chicken will be available.  This will include whole chickens as well as all the various portions. Whatever your chicken requirements are, we will be able to meet your needs. We are also able to supply chicken for any large functions.

Other products available are spices, sauces, juices and eggs, just to mention a few.  We also make our own specialised venison and beef wors and patties as well as chicken sausage and patties.

“We want to supply quality chicken, at good affordable prices whilst focusing on service excellence,” he said.

Pote said he is planning to run regular specials and with his new management team, he is confident that the Port Alfred store, with all the local support, will grow from strength to strength.

“We are passionate about good service and maintaining a good relationship with all of our customers,” Pote said.

Pote’s daughter Carla Pote and fiancé Bossie Boshoff, who have a history in hospitality, will be running the local store and are excited about the new venture.

“We are looking forward to this exciting, new challenge,” Carla said.

“We are definitely very excited about living within the community and making new friends, as well as meeting new clients,” Boshoff said.
