Royal roasted beasts were part of the fare for the Medieval Banquet presented by the Port Alfred Knights Templar at Port Alfred High School last Saturday night. There was pork and lamb, and chicken wings and sausage, accompanied by “scrumped vegetables a plen”. The only utensil available to eat with was a spoon for the starter broth and the dessert, all in line with the medieval flavour of the event.
