EC: Grahamstown Cluster Joza
Yesterday morning a 29-year-old male handed himself over to Joza SAPS in Grahamstown.
He faces a charge of murder after he alleged that the he returned to his home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He allegedly had an altercation with his 20-year-old girlfriend after which he took a chair and assaulted her. He left her lying on the floor and went to bed. This morning when he woke up he found her dead. She had severe upper body wounds. The victim cannot be identified at this stage as investigators are attempting to locate her next of kin.
The suspect will appear in the Grahamstown Magistrates Court later this week.
