THE WRONG SIDE OF FUN: Some visitors took the silly season a bit far and ended their night on a bad note when the driver and occupants of this Jeep decided to test the vehicle’s off road abilities. Driving on the beach is against the law, which was the first in a series of bad choices for the occupants. The vehicle was driven over a big rock on Shelly’s Beach, Port Alfred and became stuck, but despite the presence of chief marine conservation inspector Andile Maki and receiving a fine of R2 500 the occupants and bystanders nonchalantly continued drinking alcohol in public – which is also illegal. A cooler box containing expensive liquor, including Moet & Chandon Champagne, was in full view.
