GREEN Fountain Farm, the home of El Shaddai Christian Academy, was alive with activity as local schools competed for an opportunity to represent the province when they met on Saturday to show off their cross-country prowess.
The day is intended to select athletes who have come top in their respective leagues and have been elevated to their Circuit Management Team (CMT), In this competition, they compete to secure a place in the Sarah Baartman team to take part in the Provincial Championships on September 1, again a Green Fountain.
The competition is a joint initiative of the Sarah Baartman District Athletics and the provincial Department of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture.
