Stepping out for the school

Amateur models strut their stuff on the catwalk at Port Alfred High School’s community hall to raise funds for the school’s building and maintenance programme on Friday night.

Organised by SGB member, Sonai Owsley, on behalf of the fundraising committee, the fashion show proved a most entertaining occasion.

A sparse crowd brought the roof down as they enthusiastically applauded each of the models who sashayed up and down the platform resplendent in garments donated by Joan Jacobs’ Pop Up shop.

Among the models, were teachers and parents, hastily brought together to do some showstopping modelling for the evening – and a fine job they did.

Dance routines presented by Sha Loui dance school had the crowd foot-tapping and stomping with delight as dancers put on some slick moves. Owsley said judging from the response, the modelling show had great potential for 2025.
