IT was a mixture of fun and sadness as the annual SPCA Golf Day prizes were awarded on Friday evening, as Royal Port Alfred Golf Club Ladies’ Captain, Debbie Longhurst, was remembered, having tragically passed away on Thursday.
SPCA chairman, Derek Kleynhans, announced that the SPCA Golf Day would be renamed the SPCA Debbie Longhurst Golf Day in remembrance of its former treasurer.
However, there was also plenty to celebrate as players collected their prizes and enjoyed the camaraderie.
