Ready to rumble at the West Beach breakwall

The first section of paddlers gets ready to set off from Port Alfred’s West Beach this morning, on the second day of the PE2EL (Port Elizabeth to East London) Surfski Challenge, heading to Woody Cape. The decision was taken for them to take that route rather than Woody Cape to Port Alfred because of wind and rough conditions. Competitors were released in four sections, with the top paddlers leaving last.
