Talk of the Town came across this cattle crossing on the R67 while approaching Settlers Park earlier this week. Cattle are left to stray for grazing for part of the day or night and then rounded up by their owners or herders back to their properties in Nemato. Oftentimes cattle wander onto the R67 or R72 unaccompanied. This time herders were with them, but there were no red flags warning motorists of the crossing, as traffic laws require. The issue of stray cattle on the roads in Ndlambe has still not been resolved.
