Saturday morning was a fun time for residents and visitors who flocked to Don Powis Hall at Settlers Park village to meet friends and socialise, but especially to pick up one of the many bargains on sale.

The car park was packed to capacity along with any available space where visitors could park their vehicles, so popular are the morning markets and craft markets taking place in the area. The Settlers Park Craft Market is always a popular one that attracts visitors from as far away as Makhanda (Grahamstown) and even further afield.

From cakes and biscuits to halaal food to tea and coffee; from artworks and hand-made jewellery to Barbie Doll clothes and candles, there is so much to see and do to keep everyone happy and interested.

With music virtuoso, Lorna Els tinkering on the piano, the ambience is always one of fun and conviviality.
