Eastern Cape Covid-19 cases shoot to 535, SA now at 4,546

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Eastern Cape skyrocketed to 535 on Sunday night, up 47 from 488 on Saturday.

Health minister Zweli Mkhize said in a statement that South Africa now has 4,546 confirmed cases and 87 deaths, after another coronavirus related death was reported in the Western Cape.

There were 7,639 more cases conducted, bring the national total number of tests to 168,643.
