The Wharf Street Pub & Grill hosted an unforgettable quiz night on Saturday, May 24, in support of Palcare. The evening was filled with laughter, excitement, and quirky questions that only South Africans would know.
Bathurst’s Michelle Rowley took on the role of quiz master, keeping the crowd entertained and engaged throughout the night. Pub and Grill Manager Sandra Schwarz was thrilled with the event’s success, saying, “I was so excited to be in charge of putting it together. I’m passionate about giving back to the community, and this was the perfect opportunity.”
The prizes were a highlight of the night, with exciting goodies up for grabs. The top four teams took home amazing prizes, including:
– 1st place: A romantic overnight stay for two at a bed and breakfast
– 2nd place: A wine lover’s dream, with two DGB wines, ice buckets, and more
– 3rd place: A SAB goodie bag filled with earphones, a beanie, and more
– 4th place: A cleaning bundle and a sweet treat
And, just for kicks, the last placed team received a bunch of carrots – because who doesn’t love a good veggie prize? The lucky draw prizes added an extra layer of fun, with five winners taking home fantastic prizes. Schwarz expressed her gratitude to everyone who helped make the night a success, including sponsors and attendees. “I didn’t expect everyone to be so helpful with getting prizes together… it turned out to be a great success, and I look forward to more events to come!”
All the prizes and lucky draws were sponsored and donated by Spinning Wheel, DGB Wines, SAB, Kraft Alchemy, Pig+Whistle, LewGeffen Sotheby’s, Kowie Hardware, Red Alert, Ian @Ruanthai, Brams @the 19th, SunValley snacks, Blue Bottle Liquors, DC Electrical and Sky alarms.
