Event generates funds for preprimary section
THERE was a lot of do-si-doing at the Port Alfred High School on Saturday evening where the pre-primary section put on a barn dance to generate much needed funds for the school.
With music pumping and everyone enjoying the dancing the attendees put their best foot forward and joined in the fun.
Pre-primary principal Melissa Tweedie explained why they had chosen a barn dance to raise funds. “In the past, Aunty Lyn [Ridden] would put on a treasure hunt to raise funds for the school,” said Tweedie. “However, since her [Ridden’s] retirement we have struggled to set up a decent course and question paper. So, instead, we decided that a barn dance would suit us better.”
Everyone who attended the event said they had a great time and looked forward to next year’s event.
