Kingswood girls dominate at Alexander Road water polo festival

LAST weekend saw the Kingswood 1st girls’ water polo team take part in the Alexander Road water polo festival in Port Elizabeth.

Despite starting slowly, the team once again continued from where it left off last week in the Brian Baker tournament in fine form, and played some outstanding water polo, particularly as the festival progressed.

Kingswood girls 1st team results:

KC 1sts vs Pearson 1sts lost 2-6

KC 1sts vs Collegiate lost 0-3

KC 1sts vs Alex Rd won 3-2

KC 1sts vs Alex Rd 2nds won 9-2

KC 1sts vs York won 8-0

KC 1sts vs Rhenish won 11-0

KC 1sts vs Rustenberg won 9-0

KC 1sts vs Herschel U16A won 9-0

KC 1sts vs Bloemhof won 9-2

Meanwhile the Kingswood U16 girls team was undefeated at the Alexander road water polo tournament.

Their best performances were against York and the Dolphins where they won 4-0 and 11-0 respectively. These young girls played with true Kingswood College discipline and commitment.

As this young team continues to grow they will become a force to be reckoned with, becoming very competitive in the pool. The school looks forward to watching their up and coming fixtures and is confident they will continue recording very positive results.
