KINGSWOOD College held their third Basketball Championships on February 24.
The tournament saw four schools participating and seven teams all together. The schools were Kingswood College, DSG, Nombulelo and Lawson Brown.
The Kingswood College 1st team was in the pool with DSG, Lawson Brown and Nombulelo. The Kingswood girls led by Yonela Bukula showed character from the word go. They enjoyed a winning spree, beating all the teams in their pool. They played three games and won all 3: 50-2 against Lawson Brown, 21-12 against DSG – which was not an easy game as DSG was leading for a while in the 1st quarter – and 36-18 against Nombulelo.
They remain favourites of the tournament since its inception in 2016. The Kingswood College 2nd team in pool B won 14-8 against Lawson Brown and lost 8-18 against DSG.
