Happy Feet – Slipper Day helps children reach for a dream

TODAY, Friday May 11, was officially Slipper Day, an initiative of the Reach for a Dream Foundation that allows sick children to fulfil their dreams; from meeting a favourite pop star to a sporting legend.

Lots of business in Port Alfred took part in Slipper Day and had a lot of fun wearing their favourite most comfortable footwear to work.

But the serious side to the event is that sick, often terminally-ill children are afforded an opportunity to reach for their dreams.

Talk of the Town visited several businesses and witnessed how so many have taken up the cause and participated.

GUESS WHO? No prizes, but can you work out who the feet belong to? Answer in next week’s Talk of the Town Picture: ROB KNOWLES
