Multi Security have urged anyone with information that could lead the arrest of the attackers of one of their officers to contact them.
The company reported that one of their officers was brutally attacked while attending to an alarm activation at a premises in Albany road last night, Tuesday October 24.
“The officer was checking the premises when he came across a suspect who had gained entry into the premises,” Multi posted on their WhatsApp group this morning.
“The officer called for backup and moved in to arrest the suspect when two other suspects ambushed and stabbed him three times in the arm. Severely injured, the officer still tried to pursue the suspects who fled the premises.”
The officer was too badly injured to continue, however.
“Backup arrived and found the officer bleeding profusely and called for an ambulance.”
Gardmed ambulance services arrived on the scene and the officer was transported to a hospital in Gqeberha. The officer was receiving medical treatment and is in a stable condition, the statement read.
