Roger and Sue Darkes from the Port Alfred Croquet Club visited Damant Lodge last week to arrange a game of croquet for the residents.
It was played on the lawns in front of the row of flats. Benches had been put outside for the spectators and juice and biscuits were served. Twelve residents, most of whom had never played before, had a fun morning under the direction of the Darkes’.

“Thanks to Roger and Sue for giving up their time to teach some our residents how to play and thanks to the spectators who enjoyed a bit of time in the gardens,” said Christine Haworth, manager at Damant Lodge.
